Cultivated fields often see the growth of meadow plants and volunteer crops. Weeds rob crops of nutrients and moisture, reducing yields. In such cases, farmers use highly effective pesticides. These include the selective herbicide "Dianat," which is used to control various weeds in grain crops and corn.
Composition and existing forms of release
The active ingredient is dicamba (dimethylamine salt), at a concentration of 480 grams per liter. The product is available as an aqueous solution packaged in 10- and 60-liter plastic canisters. The chemical is diluted with water before use.
Purpose of the product
A systemic herbicide helps control annuals and some perennial grasses. The agrochemical is used in fields with crops:
- wheat;
- rye;
- barley;
- corn;
- oats.
If necessary, the product is applied to fields with winter and spring crops. The active ingredient penetrates the foliage and, with adequate moisture, the root system. It actively migrates along the trunk and accumulates at growth points. Dicamba inhibits metabolic processes, stops cell growth, and suppresses weeds.

Contraindications for use
This chemical should not be used on sweet corn or popcorn crops. An exception is for weed control when growing these crops for silage or grain. The product should not be used in the following cases:
- when sowing crops that are under stress;
- after a long drought;
- carry out treatment after spraying with another pesticide (at least 14 days must pass);
- Do not use "Dianat" if the temperature range deviates from +6…+25 degrees;
- Do not use the chemical after watering or precipitation, as moisture will wash the product off the surface.
During treatment, strictly follow the instructions for use, application rates, and safety precautions. Any deviations will lead to negative consequences.

What weeds does it work on?
The pesticide protects grain crops and corn from sprouting from fallen crops:
- rapeseed;
- sunflower;
- peas;
- mustard;
- beets;
- soybeans.
Of the meadow plants, it has a detrimental effect on:
- bedstraw;
- violet;
- geranium;
- poppies;
- rake.
"Dianat" is used to suppress weeds of the Cabbage family.

Calculation of consumption for different plants
Norms and methods of herbicide application:
| Cultivated crop | Consumption rate, l/ha | Pests | Method and time of processing |
| Cereals | 0.15-0.3 | Annuals, perennial dicotyledonous plants, including sow thistle | Spraying at the stage of formation of 2-4 true leaves. The consumption rate of the working fluid is 150-400 l/ha. |
| Corn | 0.4-0.8 | Spray when 3-5 true leaves appear. The application rate of the working solution is 150-400 l/ha. | |
| Hayfields | 1.6-3.1 | Sorrel, buttercup, hellebore, hogweed | Apply the product in the fall during the growing season. Solution consumption rate: 150-400 l/ha; for aerial spraying: 25-50 l/ha. |
How to prepare a working solution and application instructions
To achieve maximum effectiveness from the herbicide, strictly follow the instructions for use:
- Treatment is carried out immediately after sowing the crop. Spraying can be delayed if necessary, but the procedure must be carried out before the first shoots appear.
- Summer cultivation is permitted on fields with grain crops and corn.
- The working solution is used immediately after preparation, as it cannot be stored.
- To prepare the working fluid, fill the plastic container 1/3 full with water. Add the chemical, and while mixing the components, top up with water to the required level.

Spraying can be done mechanically or by air. One treatment per season is sufficient.
Security measures
The herbicide "Dianat" is a chemical and therefore highly toxic. When working with it, observe safety precautions. Prepare the solution away from food, animal feed, and water sources. Keep children and animals away.
Unused solution should not be left in the container; it must be disposed of. Any remaining solution should be poured into a deep hole and then buried. Rinse the container and treat it with ammonia and water at a ratio of 1:100.

Degree of toxicity
"Dianat" is classified as a moderately hazardous substance. Therefore, safety precautions must be observed when working with this pesticide.
Storage conditions
Store the medication in a dry place, away from sunlight, children, and animals. The shelf life is 2 years.
