Instructions for use and composition of the herbicide Glyphogold, dosage and analogues

Powerful herbicides are used in agriculture for spraying fields, vineyards, and orchards, preparing soil for planting or sowing crops, and treating non-agricultural land. We'll discuss the instructions for using the herbicide "Glyfogold," including its composition and form, dosage, and consumption, as well as how to properly prepare and apply the solution. We'll also discuss what other products can be combined with the herbicide, how to store it, and what alternatives it can be used with.

What is included in the composition, existing forms of release and purpose

The herbicide is produced by Adama Rus and comes as an aqueous solution in 5-liter canisters. The active ingredient is glyphosate (FOS) at a concentration of 360 g per liter. Glyphogold is a contact and systemic herbicide with both selective and non-selective action. It can be used not only as an herbicide but also as a desiccant.

Glyphogold is designed for weed control in grapevines, fruit trees, crop fields, non-agricultural land, and fallow land. It targets annual and perennial weeds, including noxious ones, as well as unwanted woody and shrubby vegetation. It is used to control vegetative weeds (with crop protection) in fields, orchards, fallow land, coniferous plantings, areas near railways and highways, power lines, gas and oil pipelines, industrial sites, and airfields. It is also used in the fall after harvest.

Advantages of the product

Advantages of Glyphogold:

  • Glyphosate inhibits not only the above-ground parts, but also the roots of plants, therefore destroying rhizome and root-suckering weeds;
  • the substance quickly decomposes in the soil, is not phytotoxic, and does not affect crop rotation;
  • The preparation penetrates weeds quickly and has low application rates.

Glyphogold herbicide instructions

Glyphogold, like many other glyphosate-based herbicides, can be considered a universal remedy for controlling almost all common types of weeds.

How it works

Glyphosate penetrates the vegetative organs of weeds, accumulates at their growth points, and disrupts physiological processes, leading to the death of the weeds. Glyphosate is absorbed by the roots along with the solution, which also leads to their death.

Calculation of consumption for plants

"Glyphogold" is used in agriculture, the rate depends on what types of weeds need to be destroyed (in liters per hectare):

  • annual and bicotyledonous cereals in areas with fruit trees, grapes, fields and fallow lands – 2-4;
  • perennials in areas with fruit trees – 4.8;
  • perennials in vineyards – 4;
  • perennials in fields under sowing and on fallow lands – 4-6;
  • malicious perennials in fields for sowing, fallow lands and areas not for agricultural use (including trees and shrubs and relatively resistant herbaceous plants) – 6-8;
  • Undesirable herbaceous species and deciduous trees and shrubs in areas not for agricultural use – 3-6.

The consumption of Glyphogold liquid in all cases is 100-200 l per ha.

Preparation of the working mixture

Prepare the Glyphogold solution in the following order: first, dissolve the dose of the preparation in a small amount of water and stir until smooth.

Pour the solution into the sprayer, add the remaining water and stir.

Instructions for use

Orchards, fields, fallow land, and non-agricultural land are sprayed with Glyphogold during the weed growth period, and fields under crops are sprayed in the fall. The treatment is a single application; for fruit trees and grapes, the waiting period is 60 days. Workers can return to the fields 3-7 days after spraying.

Precautionary measures

When preparing the solution and spraying, wear protective clothing, rubber gloves, goggles, and a respirator. Do not remove these until the end of the work. Keep unauthorized people and animals away from the area. Do not pick berries or mushrooms during the season if Glyphogold has been applied.

How toxic is it?

Glyphogold is classified as a Class 3 hazard to humans and bees. Do not spray plants near bodies of water, water sources, or fish farms. It is not hazardous to the crops being treated or to subsequent crops.

Possible compatibility

Glyphogold can be combined in tank mixes with pesticides. Before mixing, compatibility testing should be performed if compatibility is unknown. If no reaction occurs when mixing test volumes, both products are considered compatible.

How long and how to store it properly

Glyphogold can be stored for 5 years in the manufacturer's original canisters. Store in pesticide warehouses, near agricultural products and fertilizers. The recommended temperature range is -1°C to +35°C. Use the prepared solution within 24 hours of preparation; discard any excess.
