Modern pesticides can solve most problems that arise when cultivating land. Grader is a powerful herbicide that provides a radical, long-lasting solution to the problem, eliminating weeds and other unwanted plants, as well as shrubs and trees, without harming the environment when used according to the instructions.
Composition and existing forms of release
This non-selective herbicide contains the active ingredient imazapyr, an imidazolinone. One liter of the product contains 250 grams of the active ingredient. "Grader" is a water-glycol solution packaged in 1-liter and 10-liter plastic containers.
Pros and cons
The herbicide acts non-selectively, destroying all plant species by the roots in the treatment area, except for imidazolinone-resistant sunflower and rapeseed hybrids.
Advantages of the drug:
- high efficiency;
- destruction of various types of vegetation, including trees;
- impact on plants at any stage of development;
- long-term protective effect against the appearance of new growth (at least 1 year);
- manifestation of soil activity in the absence of migratory spread;
- the effect lasts regardless of weather conditions.
A disadvantage of the herbicide is its possible negative impact on the growth and development of shoots in areas adjacent to the treatment zone.
Mechanism of action and how quickly it works
"Grader" acts systemically, penetrating plant tissues translaminarly and through root absorption. Imazapyr accumulates at growth points, disrupting the natural growth cycles of plants.

The active substance disrupts amino acid synthesis, which adversely affects the assembly of RNA, DNA, and soluble protein complexes. As a result, cells lose their ability to divide, growth is stunted, and the plant dies.
"Grader" begins to work one week after application. The product's effectiveness can be visually assessed over the next three weeks by the appearance of signs of damage (leaf deformation, discoloration of above-ground parts, and even complete browning). Trees and shrubs shed their leaves within 2-3 weeks.
The product remains active in the soil layers for a long time, preventing new seedlings from emerging. Signs of herbicide action persist for up to 5 years.
Consumption rates
Due to its continuous coverage of the treatment zone, the "Grader" is used to control unwanted vegetation on land not used for growing crops. The exception is plantings of sunflower and rapeseed hybrids resistant to imazapyr.

Application rates for the herbicide "Grader":
| Processing object | Object of influence | Dose of the drug, liter/1 hectare | Consumption of working solution, liter/1 hectare | Days of waiting |
| Non-agricultural land | Herbaceous, woody and shrubby vegetation | 2-5 | 100-300 | - |
| Sunflower (hybrids with resistance to imidazolinones) | Annual cereals, dicotyledonous weeds | 0.075-0.12 | 50-300 (depending on the characteristics of the sprayer) | 60 |
| Rapeseed (hybrids not sensitive to imidazolinones) |
Rules for preparing a working solution
Before beginning work on the site, prepare a dilution of the concentrated "Grader" solution in water. The required amount of the product should be diluted in one-third of the total volume of water, and after thoroughly mixing, add the remaining water. Use the freshly prepared herbicide solution for treatment; do not store the dilution.

Instructions for use
According to the instructions for use of the product, the prepared solution is intended for surface spraying using a mechanical spray method.
It is recommended to carry out work with the preparation in calm, windless weather in the evening hours, which will protect nearby areas and pollinating insects.
Safety precautions at work
When performing the work, safety precautions must be observed and the application must be targeted to protect surrounding areas and bees. Protective equipment (special clothing, respirator, gloves, and goggles) must be worn during spraying. The herbicide must not be used near bodies of water, coastal areas, forests, parks, or other commercial areas. Animal access to the affected area must be restricted, and bee flight must be controlled.

The degree of toxicity and whether there is resistance
The product is classified as Class 3 of the list of hazardous chemicals for human health (low hazard). "Grader" does not affect the vital functions of harmless soil organisms. It is toxic to rodents and insect pests. Resistance to the herbicide does not develop.
Possible compatibility
It is possible to use the product with other pesticides after preliminary testing of chemical compatibility.
Storage conditions and shelf life
The drug should be stored separately, in a tightly sealed original container at a temperature from -10 °C to +40 °C.

Best before date
3 years from date of manufacture.
