The Tsunami tomato is a mid-season variety recommended for greenhouse cultivation. This pink tomato is popular among vegetable growers due to its disease resistance, high yield, and excellent taste.
Advantages and characteristics of Tsunami tomatoes
A key advantage of tomatoes is their high yield. Large-fruited tomatoes have excellent flavor, weighing up to 275–315 g. This mid-early variety bears fruit 112–117 days after germination. Ripening occurs in stages, allowing for harvesting beginning in July.

Description of fruits:
- A pink tomato containing 6-8 chambers containing seeds.
- Flat round shape.
- Tomatoes contain high amounts of lycopene and sugar.
- The color of the fruit is pink with a pearlescent tint.
- Tomatoes have dense, juicy flesh and are used in cooking for making salads, pickles, pastes, and purees.
The yield of a single plant reaches 3.5 kg. This heat-loving plant is recommended for growing in unheated plastic or glass greenhouses. The bushes are compact, reaching 50-60 cm in height, and require staking and shaping. This variety is resistant to adverse weather conditions and tobacco mosaic virus.

The leaves are medium-sized, corrugated, and light green. The first flower stalks form at the 9th leaf level. Subsequent clusters appear three leaves apart. During the growing season, up to six flower stalks are formed, each bearing 3-5 ripening tomatoes.
Agricultural technology of cultivation
The advantage of this variety is its high yield. To ensure abundant fruiting, care must be taken with the quality of the planting material.

Seedlings are sown in March, 55-60 days before the scheduled transplant to the greenhouse. Containers filled with compost are prepared for this purpose. Before sowing, the seeds are treated with a potassium permanganate solution. To do this, dissolve the crystals in water and soak the seeds for 24 hours.
After cultivation, sow the seeds into moistened soil at a distance of 2 cm from each other. Covering the container with plastic wrap is recommended to ensure uniform germination. The optimal soil temperature for seed germination is 26–29°C.
When the first shoots emerge, the seedlings are placed in a bright, cool location. This prevents the plants from stretching. When the first true leaf appears, the seedlings are pricked out.

Planting in the greenhouse takes place in May. Plants are placed in holes measuring 40 x 60 cm. For tomatoes, the ratio of air and soil humidity is important. The balance is regulated by moderate watering, loosening the soil and ventilation of the greenhouse.
Caring for the transplanted material involves providing mineral fertilizers, regular watering, and maintaining a consistent temperature. Removing dead foliage and side shoots improves gas exchange.
Tomatoes are trained into a single stem, leaving 4-6 clusters and pinching off the tops. The temperature in the greenhouse should be between 18-24°C during the day and 15-18°C at night. A fan should be installed to remove condensation.

Recommendations from vegetable growers
The taste characteristics and high yield are often reflected in reviews. Reviews from amateur gardeners point to the variety's excellent taste, abundant fruiting, and ease of care.
Elena Fishevskaya, 62 years old, Kolomna:
"This variety has been proven over the years. Seed germination is nearly 100%. With drip irrigation, the right temperature, lighting, and care, strong seedlings grow. Each plant is vigorous, and there's no need to replant it at an angle to encourage root development. The fruits of this variety are very fragrant, a delicate pink color, and a joy to pick from the bush."
Egor Fedorov, Tver, 51 years old:
"For many years, I've been passionate about growing productive tomato varieties. The name Tsunami reflects the description of the tomatoes and lives up to its name. The crop's high yield and sequential ripening allow you to enjoy their amazing flavor all season long. And the fruits, harvested in the milky stage, ripen while maintaining their flavor."

I've been growing this tomato for two years now, and I'm getting a good harvest. The tomatoes are large and fleshy, with a rich flavor. I feed the seedlings with BioGrow, there is no chemistry in it.
