Benefits of Tomatoes

The medium-sized, semi-determinate tomato, "Mama's Love," is suitable for cultivation in open ground in southern regions and greenhouses. Fruiting occurs 110-120 days after germination.

During the growing season, the bush grows to a height of 150-160 cm. In greenhouses, the plant grows taller than a tomato plant grown in a garden bed. To prevent the bushes from deforming under the weight of the fruit, they are tied to a support with nylon strips.

The leaves are medium-sized and have a shape typical of most tomatoes. The plant requires removal of excess shoots, which rob the plant of nutrients. To increase yield, it is recommended to grow the plant in two stems.

The description of the variety is related to the characteristics of large, flat-round fruits, weighing 300–500 g.

Description of fruits:

• The tomatoes are juicy, sweet in taste, and intense red in color when ripe.
• The surface of the fruit is glossy; when cut horizontally, chambers with a small number of seeds are visible.
• With proper care, the plant becomes densely covered with evenly ripening tomatoes.
• The yield of this variety reaches 3.5 kg per bush.

This tomato variety is resistant to fungal and viral diseases of nightshade crops. Its excellent immunity allows for harvesting all the fruit that has set. In cooking, tomatoes are used to make juices, pastes, and fresh.

Agricultural technology for tomato cultivation

Seeds for seedlings are sown 60-65 days before the expected planting date. After treatment with a growth stimulant, the seeds are placed in containers with prepared soil to a depth of 1 cm.

After watering with warm water using a spray bottle, cover the container with plastic wrap. To ensure rapid sprouting, maintain a temperature of 24 to 26°C. Under these conditions, the seeds will germinate in 5 to 6 days.

When 2-3 true leaves have formed, transplant the seedlings into individual containers. Peat pots can be used for transplanting, and the seedlings can be placed in the holes with them.

The bushes are transplanted to their permanent location at 50-55 days of age. Four bushes are planted per square meter. The Mamina Lyubov variety requires warmth and nutrition. During the growing season, it is necessary to apply mineral and complex fertilizers in a timely manner according to the manufacturer’s schedule.

When watering, avoid excess moisture, which negatively impacts the taste of tomatoes. Plant care involves periodic loosening of the soil to regulate the moisture and air balance around the root system.

To increase crop yields, mulching the soil with grass or black fiber is recommended. Green manure with legumes has a positive effect on plant productivity.
