If a gardener is looking for a variety that is not only productive but also resilient, they should consider the Northern Beauty tomato. This tomato is distinguished not only by its abundant fruit but also by its exceptional flavor. That's why, among all the cool-hardy varieties, many gardeners choose the Northern Beauty.
It's believed that short tomatoes yield less than tall ones. Many northern tomatoes are indeed short. However, Krasavitsa is an exception, as this hybrid produces fairly tall bushes. These produce a large number of fruits, which delight the gardener for a long time.

Description of the variety
The Severnaya Krasavitsa hybrid has many positive qualities. It's a mid-season tomato that produces fruit as early as 115 days after sowing. Although the hybrid isn't an early variety, it still produces a high yield even in cool summers, as the variety is temperature-tolerant.
Plant characteristics:
- The bushes grow quite tall.
- The manufacturer's description states that this is a semi-determinate variety, meaning the plant has limited growth and doesn't require pinching. However, the bush can grow quite large.
- On average, the Northern Beauty grows up to 1.5 meters.
- The plant is green and lush.
- It requires mandatory staking. Otherwise, the gardener risks losing part of the harvest due to broken trunks.

Tomatoes of this variety are considered high-yielding, yielding approximately 5 kg of delicious tomatoes per plant with proper cultivation. With proper plant training, four plants can be planted per square meter. This yields approximately 20 kg of delicious tomatoes per square meter.
Formation means removing extra branches, which are called side shoots. They won't produce fruit, but they draw juices from the plant, preventing fruit development. Therefore, with properly trained plants, yields increase significantly.
Fertilizer can also increase fruit production. The Severnaya Krasavitsa variety thrives on both mineral and natural fertilizers. Don't forget to weed and loosen the soil. Watering should be moderate.

If humidity is too high, the bushes will become susceptible to diseases, including fungal ones. Furthermore, as a preventative measure, it's worth using additional treatments against diseases common to nightshades. The Northern Beauty is considered a hardy variety, but additional protection against diseases is always helpful.
Characteristics of fruits
One of the main advantages of this tomato variety is its pleasant flavor. They are sweet, very soft, and have thin skin, making them ideal for salads. This "Northern Beauty" not only has an excellent flavor but also a distinct aroma.

However, the softness of the fruit can also be a drawback, as it makes them unsuitable for whole-fruit canning, as many home cooks have noted. However, some still use Severnaya Krasavitsa tomatoes for making sauces and juices.
They are elongated in shape and have a pointed tip. Fruit weight varies, but averages 100 g. Larger tomatoes form on the lower clusters, while the smaller ones, sometimes weighing as little as 50 g, grow higher up.

When unripe, tomatoes are light green. But as they ripen, they begin to turn pink from the tip. They can be harvested when a yellowish spot remains near the stem. At this stage, the tomatoes are ready to eat. The number of tomatoes you harvest depends on how well you care for them.
