The Druzhok tomato is a first-generation hybrid, boasting high yields with minimal time and labor. Its versatile fruits have a rich flavor and aroma.
Advantages of a hybrid
The Druzhok f1 tomato is an early-ripening variety. It takes 90-95 days from germination to fruiting.

During the growing season, bushes with strong stems 50-70 cm tall are formed. The variety description indicates the crop's resistance to temperature fluctuations.
To increase yield, the bushes are trained into 2-3 stems and tied to supports for improved growth. Druzhok tomatoes are resistant to direct sunlight.
The first cluster of flower stalks appears at the sixth leaf level. A total of 3-4 clusters form on the bush, each bearing numerous tomatoes weighing 110-115 g. With proper care, the fruits can reach 150-200 g.
When ripe, the fruits are red, fleshy, and juicy, with a dense yet delicate skin. They are round and even in shape, with a slight indentation at the base. When cut horizontally, two to four chambers containing a small number of seeds are visible.

When grown correctly, the variety yields 12-16 kg per square meter. All the fruits ripen at the same time and are harvested in 1-2 stages. This makes it convenient for processing.
The fruit's characteristics are related to its taste. Tomatoes are sweet with a slightly sour note and are used fresh and for canning.
Agricultural technology of cultivation
Seeds for seedlings are sown in April. If planting in a permanent location is planned for late spring, the seeds are sown in late April.

To improve the crop's resistance to fungal diseases and increase germination, seeds are treated with an aqueous solution of potassium permanganate and a growth stimulator.
Growing seedlings requires maintaining a temperature regime and extending daylight hours to 16 hours using a fluorescent lamp. The plants need to be watered regularly and fertilized with a complex fertilizer.
At the stage of formation of the first true leaf, picking is carried out into separate containers. It is recommended to use peat pots, which allow seedlings to be transferred to a permanent location while preserving the plant's root system.
Planting begins 30-35 days after germination. Plants are spaced 40 cm apart between plants and 50 cm between rows.
Caring for the crop involves timely watering and fertilizing with organic and mineral fertilizers. Periodic loosening of the soil is recommended to maintain moisture balance and allow air access to the root system.

Mulching the soil can minimize weed control and ensure drip irrigation. Mulch can be made from last year's grass, leaves, or non-woven black fiber.
Opinions and recommendations from gardeners
Reviews from vegetable growers indicate the variety's high yield, uniform ripening of fruits, and excellent taste of tomatoes.
Tips for growing the crop include sowing the crop in open ground or greenhouses, the frequency of fertilizing, and stem formation during the growing season.

I've been growing the Druzhok variety for several years, purchasing the seeds from a specialist company. Unfortunately, the seeds I collect myself are not suitable for growing this hybrid variety the following season. This tomato is undemanding of soil and sets fruit well at a wide range of temperatures. Among its advantages is its uniform ripening. The tomatoes are delicious and sweet, and they retain their shape when canned.
Anatoly Tikhonov, 56 years old, Biysk
I grow the Druzhok hybrid from seedlings in a greenhouse. As friends advised, I train the low bushes into two stems and tie them to a trellis. I mulch the soil with last year's grass. This allows for even distribution of moisture during watering and reduces weeds. At the end of the season, the grass serves as a source of organic nutrition for the plants. The tomatoes ripen in July. The bright red tomatoes are nearly uniform in size and sweet.

A very good variety, I planted it last year, the fruits are tasty, large, but I had to feed them BioGrow – a plant growth bioactivator, and I want to say that my harvest was better than my neighbor’s.
