Any novice gardener can grow the Biyskaya Roza tomato. This variety has a good yield and a mid-season ripening period. The Biyskaya Roza tomato differs from the Biyskaya Roza tomato only in the height of the bush. Both varieties produce tasty fruit suitable for juice and vegetable salads. They shouldn't be stored for long; it's best to eat or preserve them immediately.
Brief information about tomato
The characteristics and description of the Biyskaya Rose variety are as follows:
- These tomato plants can grow up to 100-110 cm (Biysky rose grows up to 0.75 m). However, when grown in a greenhouse or in open, fertile soil, the plant can reach 150-180 cm.
- From the germination of seedlings to the receipt of the first fruits, no more than 110-120 days pass.
- The bushes of this variety grow strongly, so plants should be planted as far apart as possible.
- Tomatoes of this variety are heavy. Most harvested fruits weigh 0.4–0.5 kg.
- The skin of the fruit is quite soft and red. The tomato contains virtually no seeds, and its flesh is tender and slightly sweet.

Photos of the Biyskaya Rose's fruits can be found in agricultural reference books. The variety's yield is quite high for a small bush. It can reach 5 kg per bush when grown in a greenhouse, as it typically produces 5 to 10 fruits. Some farmers have managed to obtain tomatoes weighing 0.8 to 1.2 kg, but such cases are quite rare. If grown outdoors, the tomato can produce up to 6 fruits per bush.
Reviews of this variety are positive, but gardeners note the fact that despite the low-growing bushes, the stems need to be supported due to the large mass of fruits. Although The Biysk rose is not a hybrid variety and is not resistant to various garden pests and diseases.

Farmers complain about the low resistance of this type of plant to fungal and viral infections. Not only the mature plant is susceptible to the disease, but seedlings of this variety are also susceptible to various diseases.
The Biyskaya Rose tomato is most often susceptible to late blight, so preventative measures against this disease should be taken even when the seedlings are planted in the ground.
How to grow Biyskaya Rose tomatoes?
Seeds for seedlings are sown in mid-March in lightly compacted soil. Mulch the soil with peat, or if peat is not available, then with a layer of soil no more than 1–1.5 cm deep.

The seedlings are watered through a sieve with warm water. After this, the trays containing the future seedlings are placed in a room where the temperature is maintained at 24 to 25°C.
To grow the seeds, cover them with plastic wrap until the first shoots appear. After this, remove the plastic wrap and move the containers to a bright location or illuminate them with a special lamp. Reduce the room temperature to 15°C and then maintain it there for a week. After this, raise the temperature to 21°C. When the first two leaves appear on the seedlings, transplant them.

Once the first shoots have emerged 60 days later, and the stems have developed 6-7 true leaves and the first ovary has set, it is recommended to plant the plants in the ground outdoors or in a greenhouse. As noted above, Biyskaya rose bushes take up quite a bit of space, so no more than 2-3 plants should be planted in a 1 m² bed.
The distance between individual stems should be at least 70-80 cm, and between rows - 0.6-0.7 m. After the first fruits begin to develop, it is better to support the stems with strong stands.

To prevent fungal and other infections, it's recommended to treat tomato plants with fungicides. Colorado potato beetles are most common pests when tomato stems haven't yet reached their full size. These pests are controlled using common methods. For other garden pests, treat tomato leaves with special pesticides.
