Combating mycoses of vegetable crops, which can almost completely destroy a harvest, is a priority in agriculture. The modern fungicide "Consento," when used according to the instructions, kills fungi without causing pathogen resistance to the formula's components, protecting crops from reinfection.
Composition, existing forms of release and purpose
The antifungal drug "Consento" contains a combination of two active compounds - propamocarb and fenamidone in effective concentrations of 375 grams/liter and 75 grams/liter, respectively.
The fungicide is available as a concentrated suspension solution for dilution. The concentrate is packaged in plastic screw-top bottles of 20, 60, 100, and 500 milliliters, as well as in 5-liter canisters.
Purpose of the drug
"Consento" is recommended by the manufacturer for treating a range of vegetable crops (potatoes, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers) and sunflower crops to combat parasitic fungi sensitive to these ingredients. The fungicide is effective against the following plant diseases:
- late blight;
- downy mildew;
- Alternaria;
- rot.
Consento is an effective fungicide suitable for treating plants showing signs of fungal infection, as well as for preventing mycoses throughout the season.

Operating principle
The drug has systemic and protective effects due to the effects of its components. Propamocarb is a carbamate compound with systemic fungistatic properties. It blocks the synthesis of fats and fatty acids in pathogen cells, disrupting the formation of cell membranes. Mycelial growth is inhibited.
Consento protects treated plants from re-infestation for 1-2 weeks. This fungicide also stimulates the development of both underground and above-ground plant parts, building resistance to adverse factors.
Pros and cons
The combined fungicide "Consento", which allows for the control of difficult-to-eradicate pathogenic fungi, has a number of clear advantages.

Consento's disadvantages include its relatively high cost. Given the fungicide's advantages and ability to resist late blight, the price meets farmers' expectations.
Rules for preparing the working solution and instructions for use
Fungicide treatment is carried out by spraying the plants with a freshly prepared, diluted concentrate. The dilution is prepared at a rate of 20 milliliters of "Consento" suspension per 5 liters of water.
Mix water and fungicide directly in the sprayer tank, using a small amount of solvent at first, gradually adding water to bring the total volume up to the desired volume.
The recommended application rate for large agricultural areas is 1.75-2 liters of suspension per hectare, with a working solution application rate of 400 liters per hectare of crops (for onions, up to 600 liters per hectare). The fungicide treatment cycle is repeated up to four times per season at 10-day intervals.

Cucumber
"Consento" is used for preventative and curative spraying of ground cucumber plantings against downy mildew and peronosporosis, which manifests as yellow spots on the foliage. Preventative treatment is carried out four times at 10-day intervals. For curative treatment, remove infected parts before spraying.
Sunflower
Sunflower crops are treated with a fungicide to prevent the development of Alternaria leaf spot and seedhead rot. The fungicide is applied according to the standard protocol and the crop is sprayed 3-4 times per season.
Potato
Potato plantings often become seriously affected by late blight. The disease adversely affects plant development and halves the yield. Spraying with the working solution is performed four times, from seedling emergence to tuber harvest.

Tomato
Tomatoes are just as susceptible to late blight as potatoes. "Consento" helps protect open-ground crops from late blight and early blight.
Onion
Onions are susceptible to rot and downy mildew. Antifungal treatments are carried out by sporadic spraying at 7-10 day intervals. The waiting period after using Consento for all crops is three weeks from the date of the last treatment.
Security measures
Consento is classified as a Class 3 toxic chemical and poses a moderate risk to human health. Working with this compound requires adherence to basic personal safety rules.

The following safety precautions must be observed:
- use protective equipment;
- carry out work in the evening when there is no wind;
- Do not allow the preparation to enter water bodies or coastal areas.
It is recommended to limit the flight of bees in the first hours after treatment.
Personal protective equipment when working with fungicide
Before handling the compound, wear protective clothing with tight-fitting long sleeves and use personal chemical protection for your hands (gloves), eyes (goggles), and respiratory system (respirator). Keep children, pregnant women, and animals out of the treatment area.
First aid for poisoning
In case of direct contact with the fungicide, it is necessary to promptly remove the composition from the skin surface with a piece of cloth and wash the area with soapy water.

If you feel unwell, you should:
- stop work;
- leave the treatment area;
- take off special clothing;
- rinse skin and eyes with clean water;
- take sorbents (activated carbon - 1 tablet per 10 kilograms of body weight) with plenty of water;
- induce vomiting.
If symptoms worsen or there are obvious signs of poisoning, you should immediately consult a doctor.
Degree of phytotoxicity
The product does not have a phytotoxic effect, with rare exceptions for certain varieties.
Possible compatibility
Consento can be used in combination with other pesticides after preliminary testing for chemical interactions.
Storage conditions and periods
The drug should be stored tightly sealed, away from food and household items, at temperatures from -15°C to +40°C, out of the reach of children and animals.
Best before date
3 years.
