Modern garden protection products provide preventative, curative, and protective effects on crops. To control fungal diseases in fruit and berry crops, farmers use the broad-spectrum herbicide "Prognoz." It effectively protects plants on both large and small farms. Depending on the specific task, the pesticide can be used throughout the growing season, from the beginning of flowering to harvest.
Purpose, composition and existing forms of release
This systemic pesticide belongs to the triazole class. The active ingredient is propiconazole, a mixture of four stereoisomers. The product contains 250 grams of the substance per liter. It is a clear liquid, packaged in 5- and 10-milliliter ampoules and 5-, 10-, and 15-liter canisters.
The drug is highly effective in combating harmful bacteria:
- against imperfect fungi;
- rust;
- powdery mildew;
- spotting;
- rot;
- anthracnose.
The "Forecast" is used for the following crops:
- strawberries;
- gooseberry;
- currants;
- raspberries;
- flower and grain plantings.
For each type of plant being treated, there are specific dosages of the product and consumption rates of the working fluid.

Mechanism of action
Entering the plant through the stems and leaves, propiconazole moves acropetally (from the roots to the crown of the plant), affecting all foci of infection. The active ingredient inhibits the development of fungal infections and disrupts the cell division process of pathogens. The pesticide's effectiveness decreases in cool weather and increases in warmer periods. The main component has a stimulating effect, improving plant photosynthesis.
Advantages and disadvantages
The multifunctional plant protection product "Prognoz" has a beneficial effect on all types of crops.

Calculation of consumption
For each crop, there is a specific consumption rate of the drug "Prognoz":
| Culture | Pests | Herbicide consumption rate, ml/l | Processing period | Consumption of the finished solution |
| Strawberries | Powdery mildew, gray mold | 1 ml/1 l of water | Spraying before flowering, after harvest | 1.5 l per 10 m2 |
| Gooseberry, black currant | Powdery mildew, rust, anthracnose, septoria | 0.5 l per bush | ||
| Raspberry | Spotting, anthracnose, rust | 1 liter per 10 m2 |
Preparation of the working mixture
Prepare the solution in a well-ventilated area or outdoors. Pour 3 liters of water into the prepared container and add 10 milliliters of the chemical. Mix thoroughly. Then add 7 liters of water. Mix again. The working solution is ready for use.
Instructions for use
Plants should be treated with Prognoz in warm weather, at temperatures no lower than 15 degrees Celsius. Spraying is best done in the morning or evening after the dew has evaporated. Use only freshly prepared mixture. After treatment, plants should be completely covered with the working solution. When working with the pesticide, wear personal protective equipment and observe safety precautions.

Security measures
Before spraying plants, prepare the area to be treated. Cover wells and other water sources with a lid or plastic sheet.
Workers must wear protective equipment: long-sleeved clothing, safety glasses, a respirator, and waterproof shoes. Hair must be covered with a hat. Smoking, drinking, and eating are prohibited during spraying.
How to help with poisoning?
At the first sign of poisoning, the worker is removed from the treatment area, protective clothing is carefully removed, and first aid is administered:
- If the chemical is accidentally swallowed, immediately rinse the mouth with plenty of water. Give the victim plenty of fluids and activated charcoal. Induce vomiting by irritating the back of the throat.
- If the solution comes into contact with your skin, immediately remove any remaining solution with a clean cloth or paper, being careful not to rub it in. Then wash the affected area with soap and water.
- If a pesticide gets into the eyes, rinse the eyes with plenty of clean water. Refer the victim to an ophthalmologist for assistance.

After first aid has been provided, the worker is sent to a medical facility for examination.
Degree of toxicity
"Prognoz" has no phytotoxic effect on crops. The product remains inside the plants and is completely eliminated within 20-30 days.
Possible compatibility
The drug is compatible with most pesticides, insecticides, and herbicides with a similar principle of action.
Before using together, it is recommended to test by mixing a small amount of components.
How and for how long can it be stored?
Store the herbicide in its original container, out of the reach of children and animals. The shelf life is two years from the date of manufacture. Once opened, use the container promptly. The prepared working solution should not be stored.
