Growing fruits and vegetables takes a lot of time and effort, so it's especially frustrating when plants become infected and hope for a harvest is lost. Modern agrochemicals are used to effectively protect crops. Using Rapid Gold helps prevent fungal infections in grapes and vegetable beds. Information about this product's properties will certainly be useful for gardeners.
Composition and release forms
"Rapid Gold" is a multi-component drug and belongs to the chemical class of dithiocarbamates + other substances.
The effectiveness of the product is due to the interaction of two active ingredients:
- mancozeb - 640 grams/kilogram;
- cymoxanil - 80 grams/kilogram.
The fungicide is available as a wettable powder, packaged in 10-kilogram paper bags. Each package is labeled with the name of the fungicide, instructions for use, and the production date.
Rapid Gold is a contact and systemic pesticide used to prevent fungal infections and treat infected plants. It is produced by the agrochemical company AGRORUS.

Mechanism of action and purpose
This product is designed to protect potatoes and tomatoes from late blight and early blight. It is also used to protect vineyards from mildew.
Mancozeb's ability to convert into ethylene benisocyanate sulfide when exposed to water, and then into ethylene benisocyanate when exposed to sunlight, allows it to be used as a fungicide. Both substances act on the intercellular connections of the mycelium and influence cellular energy metabolism. This process inhibits spore maturation and the spread of fungal infection.

Cymoxanil penetrates the plant's system through the surface layers of leaves and stems, moving from the bottom up, preventing plantings from becoming infected, and protecting and treating them once the infection is detected. Elimination of the infection on an infected plant is possible within 1-2 days after the disease has spread. Benefits of using this fungicide:
- the development of resistance to the components of the drug is extremely unlikely;
- effective against infections resistant to phenylamide-containing agents;
- suitable for making tank mixtures;
- does not linger in the soil, decomposes quickly;
- It is highly effective in treating vineyards against mildew.
The preparation begins to act immediately after treatment and protects the plant for 7-12 days.
Important: Do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended concentration. This product is non-phytotoxic when used according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Calculation of consumption
The plantings are treated with a freshly prepared working solution of the preparation. The prepared solution should not be stored for more than 24 hours.
| Type of crop being processed | Wettable powder consumption | What infections is it used for? | When and how to process, consumption of working fluid, in liters/hectare |
| Tomato in open ground | 1.5 | Alternaria, late blight | During the growing season. 400-600 |
| Potato | 1.5 | Alternaria, late blight | During the growing season. 400 |
| Vine | 1.5 | Mildew | During the growing season. 800-1000 |
The product begins to work 2-4 hours after spraying plants. Plants are treated twice, with a waiting period of 3-4 weeks. Spray vegetables and grapes in dry, sunny weather. Do not use during flowering.

Terms of Use
On the day of spraying, prepare the working solution. Fill the tank 1/3 full with water, stir, and add the required amount of powder. Once the fungicide has completely dissolved, continue stirring and add the remaining water. Spray vegetables and grapes in dry, sunny weather. Do not use during flowering.
Precautionary measures
Special areas with smooth concrete surfaces are used to prepare the working solution. Unauthorized persons and pets are not allowed on these areas. The areas are located away from residential buildings.
Spraying and preparation of the working solution of the fungicide are carried out in protective suits, respirators, and rubber gloves. After finishing work, the sprayer is thoroughly rinsed to remove any remaining product and dried in its disassembled state.

How toxic is it?
The concentrated form of the product is highly toxic. All work must be performed by specially trained personnel equipped with personal protective equipment (suits, respirators, protective goggles or shields, and gloves). The fungicide is approved for aerial application but should not be used in water protection zones of bodies of water.
What hazard class has been assigned to humans and honey insects?
The drug belongs to hazard class 2 for humans (high toxicity) and hazard class 3 (moderate toxicity) for bees.

Is compatibility possible?
The fungicide is suitable for tank mixing with other pesticides. Physical and chemical interactions should be tested beforehand.
Storage conditions and periods
The fungicide is stored in agrochemical warehouses in a cool, dry area. It should be located away from residential buildings and away from animal feed and supplement storage areas. Unauthorized persons and children are not allowed into the warehouse. The product is contained in the manufacturer's packaging. The shelf life is 3 years.
What to replace it with
The drug's analogues in terms of active ingredients are: Rapid Gold Plus, Acrobat, Methoxyl, Sectin Phenomenon, and Ditan.
