When weather conditions change abruptly, potatoes and other vegetable crops are at risk of developing fungal infections. Powerful pesticides are used to protect plants and preserve the harvest. The fungicide Revus helps combat this disease. The instructions for use provide precise recommendations for dosing, storage, and preparation of the working solution.
Composition and existing forms of release
The drug belongs to the chemical class of mandelamides. It is available as a suspension concentrate packaged in a 5-liter plastic container. It contains two main ingredients:
- mandipropamid – 250 grams per liter;
- difenoconazole – 250 grams per liter.
Pros and cons
This highly effective translaminar herbicide has an impressive list of advantages:
- the preparation is highly resistant to precipitation and does not wash off plants within an hour after spraying;
- translaminar movement and healing activity contribute to long-term protection of crops;
- the product guarantees a stable tomato harvest;
- belongs to low-toxic substances;
- The high efficiency of the pesticide is noted even in the most favorable conditions for the development of pathogens;
- compatible with other agrochemicals.

One of the pesticide's drawbacks is that Revus is selective, suppressing only the fungi that cause downy mildew and late blight. Exceeding the recommended dosage and frequency of treatments poses a risk of negative impacts on the environment and soil.
How does it work and for what plants is it used?
The two main components have similar actions: they inhibit RNA biosynthesis, stopping mycelial growth, and preventing the fungi from entering the sporulation stage. The only difference is their effect on specific pathogens: mandipropamide inhibits only oomycetes, while difenoconazole inhibits a wider range of fungal species.
How quickly does it work and how long does the effect last?
After spraying crops, the product begins to act within 2-3 hours. Its duration of action is at least 7-14 days. Due to its high ability to redistribute within plant tissues, the fungicide protects newly emerging leaves.

Preparation of working solution
The working fluid is prepared in the sprayer tank immediately before use. The suspension is diluted with water with the agitator running. The amount of product added is according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Instructions for use
The procedure is carried out in the morning, applying the product to dry plants. The effectiveness of the product is reduced when the foliage is damp. Spray with the finest possible spray, ensuring complete coverage of the foliage.
The consumption rate of Revus is given in the table:
| Culture | Harmful object | The dosage rate of the drug | Working fluid consumption rate | Processing method | Waiting period, days | Number of treatments |
| Potato | Late blight | 12 ml per 10 liters of water | 5 liters per 100 m2 | The first spraying before the plants close together, repeat treatments every 1-2 weeks | 5 | 4 |
| Tomato | 6 ml per 5 liters of water | A week after planting the seedlings in the ground, 3-4 leaves will appear | ||||
| Onion | Peronosporosis | 1.2 ml per 1 liter of water | 1 liter per 10 m2 | When the leaves reach a height of 7-10 cm | 15 | 2 |
Safety precautions
When working with pesticides, wear personal protective equipment: clothing that covers all areas of the body, gloves, a hat, and a respirator. Afterward, treat protective clothing with a baking soda solution, rinse, and shower.
Degree of phytotoxicity
The chemical is considered low-toxic, so it can be used near bodies of water and apiaries. When safety precautions are taken, Revus is not harmful to humans, animals, insects, or aquatic life.
Possible compatibility
The fungicide is compatible with pesticides that control weeds, fungal infections, and pests. The effectiveness of this tank mix lies in its multi-directional action. It is recommended to test the components for compatibility before mixing. If sediment forms or the solution becomes cloudy, do not use the products together.

Storage conditions and shelf life
Store the product out of the reach of children and animals. Keep away from drinking water, food, and animal feed. The expiration date is 3 years from the date of manufacture.
