Bacterial and fungal infections of agricultural crops, which rapidly destroy plant tissue and wipe out a large portion of the harvest, are becoming a serious problem for farmers and gardeners. A rational solution requires a comprehensive approach. Using the fungicide "Strekar" according to the instructions allows for resolution of even mixed or difficult-to-diagnose plant diseases.
What is included in the composition, existing forms of release and the purpose of the product
The unique composition of the drug includes the following active compounds:
- carbendazim – 70 grams/1 liter of total mass;
- phytobacteriomycin – 25 grams/1 liter of mixture mass.
"Strekar" is produced as a concentrate in the form of a paste. It is sold in plastic containers of 500 grams, 1 kilogram, and 2 kilograms.
Purpose of the product
"Strekar" is capable of destroying bacterial and fungal pathogens, enhancing plant resistance and defenses. The product is used to combat the following diseases:
- Fusarium wilt;
- rot;
- powdery mildew;
- anthracnose;
- spotting;
- fire blight;
- scab;
- blackleg.
"Strekar" is indicated for processing vegetable plantings, fruit trees, and grain crops.

How does a fungicide work?
The active ingredients of Strekar complement and enhance each other's effects, giving the systemic-contact preparation therapeutic and protective-prophylactic properties, as well as the ability to increase plant resistance to infections.
Phytobacteriomycin is a streptothricin antibiotic that disrupts protein synthesis in bacterial cells. The substance circulates in tissues, boosting plant immunity, and maintains its effect for an average of 3-4 weeks.
Carbendazim is a benzimidazole compound with pronounced antifungal activity against many types of pathogenic fungi. It acts systemically, penetrating plant tissue and inhibiting the cell division of fungal agents. Carbendazim's adhesive properties provide long-lasting protection to treated crops. The combination of a powerful antifungal agent and an antibiotic in Strekar effectively combats infection and reduces the number of crop treatments.
Pros and cons

"Strekar", as a modern, potent agent that destroys a wide range of agricultural pests, has a number of advantages.
How to prepare a working mixture for different crops
The working solution is a dilution of the concentrated paste in water. The average therapeutic dose is 10-20 grams of concentrate dissolved in 10 liters of water.
Onion
Dose: 2 grams per 1 liter of water. Apply by spraying up to three times per season to eliminate and prevent root rot and bacterial diseases.

Tomato
Dosage: 2 grams/1 liter for greenhouse cultivation; 4 grams/1 liter for tomatoes grown outdoors. Start with spraying or root watering 30 days after transplanting to a permanent location.
Seed treatment
Pre-treatment of seeds is a rational way to prevent contamination of the material with bacteria and fungal spores.
Dose: 20 grams per 1 liter of water. Soak the seeds in the prepared solution for 5 hours, then rinse and begin sowing.
Potato
Dosage: 1.5 grams per 1 liter of water. "Strekar" protects tubers from fusarium and prevents rot. Treatment begins one month after planting. Repeat treatments twice more.

Fruit trees
Dose: 1 gram of fungicide per 1 liter of water. Apply by surface spraying before the onset of mass flowering. Autumn preventative treatment is also possible after fruit harvest.
Cucumber
Dosage: 2 grams per 1 liter. Apply by root watering. The first application should be 30 days after planting in the permanent location.
Cereal crops
Pre-soaking the seeds in a fungicide solution is optimal. Alternatively, spray the seedlings with a solution of 1 gram of Strekar paste per 1 liter of water.
Instructions for use
Treatment is carried out with a freshly prepared aqueous dilution. "Strekar" is used for spraying above-ground parts (no more than 2 kilograms of the product per hectare of plantings) or for root irrigation (at a rate of 8 kilograms per hectare, reducing the consumption to 6 kilograms per hectare with the drip method).

The optimal time for treatment is evening hours. To protect pollinating insects, limit bee flight to 9-12 hours. Treatments should be applied 2 to 4 times per season. When reapplying Strekar fungicide, wait at least 20 days after the previous treatment.
Security measures
"Strekar" is classified as a hazard class 2 for humans and can cause harm to health if handled improperly.
Work with the drug requires special control and compliance with the following measures:
- prevent children, pregnant women, and animals from accessing the area where the fungicide is applied at the time of treatment and in the first 12 hours after the procedure;
- use of special clothing and protective equipment that excludes the possibility of direct contact with the composition (a closed suit with tight-fitting cuffs and protection for the scalp, thick rubber gloves, a respirator, glasses);
- Restriction on use near water bodies – do not allow the product to enter water or coastal areas.
If the fungicide comes into contact with your skin or eyes, rinse the affected area immediately with clean water. If you feel unwell, seek immediate medical attention.

Phytotoxicity
The recommended doses of the drug do not have a phytotoxic effect.
Possible compatibility
Can be used together with fungicidal and insecticidal agents after checking the chemical compatibility in the instructions for the preparations.
"Strekar" should not be used together with bacterial preparations or copper-based compounds.
Storage terms and conditions
The drug should be stored isolated, closed with a tight-fitting lid at a temperature of -5 °C to +30 °C in a place inaccessible to children and animals.
Best before date
1 year.
Analogues
"Strekar" has no complete analogues.
