"Vitaros" is an effective seed treatment with contact and systemic properties. It helps combat a wide range of diseases affecting cereals and flowers that spread through soil or seed. To eliminate pathogens and prevent the development of diseases, it's important to use the product correctly.
Composition and release forms
This product is a contact-systemic fungicide. It is used for treating planting material. It has a combined composition. One liter of the product contains the following active ingredients:
- 98 grams of thiram;
- 198 grams of carboxin.
The medication is available as an aqueous suspension concentrate. Ampoules of 2, 10, and 50 milliliters are available. The medication is also available in 100-milliliter bottles.
Mechanism of operation and purpose
Carboxin has systemic properties, while thiram is characterized by contact activity. The use of Vitaros suppresses the development of vegetative and reproductive organs of fungi that cause diseases. Pathogens can be located on the surface of seeds or within them.
By moving to the growth points, the product protects plant shoots and roots from damage by soil-borne pathogens. However, the active ingredients have slightly different effects:
- Carboxin suppresses internal infections within 7-8 days. It combats external and soil-borne pathogens within 24 hours.
- Thiram helps suppress external and soil infections within 2 days.
In addition to the active ingredients, Vitaros includes a bright dye, a wetting agent, dispersants, and an adhesive. It also contains a thickener and an antifreeze. This helps evenly distribute the substance onto the seeds and forms a strong film on the surface that does not flake off after drying.

This drug has the following advantages:
- highly effective for treating bulbs and rhizomes of flower plants before planting and storage;
- suppression of pathogens that are on the surface of planting material or in its structure;
- the ability to eliminate root rot and mold in seed material;
- long-lasting protective effect;
- control of the processing process due to the presence of dye in the composition.

Calculation of consumption
To prepare the etching liquid, it is recommended to mix 1 ampoule of the preparation (2 milliliters) with 1 liter of water.
The exact dosage and rules for using the product are indicated in the table:

| Ornamental plants | Fusarium, helminthosporiosis, rhizoctonia, penicillosis | 2 milliliters of the preparation per 1 liter of water | 1 liter per 1 kilogram | Bulbs, tubers or rhizomes should be immersed in the solution for 2 hours. |
| Seed potatoes, except early varieties | Rhizoctonia | 2 liters of seed treatment per 10 liters of water | 2 liters per 1 ton | The product should be sprayed on seed tubers before planting. |
| Corn | Different types of mold and smut | 3 liters of the preparation per 7 liters of water | 5 liters per 1 ton | The product must be used to treat seeds in advance or before planting. |
| Cereals | Various types of seed mold, root rot, smut | 3 liters of product per 7 liters of water | 10 liters per 1 ton | The preparation is used to treat seed material in advance or 2-3 days before planting. |
