The herbicide "Boxer" is a systemic product with a selective effect. It acts on the soil and, to some extent, on foliar surfaces. It helps control the growth of annual grass weeds. When used correctly, it is highly effective. It is important to strictly follow the instructions. Adherence to safety precautions is also crucial.
Composition, existing forms of release and purpose
One liter of the product contains 800 grams of prosulfocarb. The active ingredient belongs to the thiocarbamate class. The product is available as a concentrated emulsion. It is sold in plastic canisters of 5 or 10 liters.
This herbicide is designed for soil treatment. It is used before planting vegetable or cereal crops. It can also be applied immediately after sprouting. It controls broad-leafed dicotyledonous weeds and annual cereals.
Mechanism of action
"Boxer" is considered a pre-emergent and early post-emergent herbicide. It is specifically designed to control black nightshade and cleavers. It also helps control other important dicotyledonous and annual grass crops.
This herbicide is recommended for use before planting or immediately after seedling emergence. Its mechanism of action is based on the suppression of lipid production. The substance is selective and is absorbed by weeds. However, the compound is inactive against the crops it protects.

Prosulfocarb is absorbed by the basal parts of the stem and the root system of weeds. This gives the compound a broad effect. It inhibits the growth of weeds both deep and on the soil surface.
The herbicide's active ingredient inhibits the protective functions of membranes, stopping cell division and growth. It prevents the formation of a waxy layer on weed shoots and causes the death of the green parts.
The substance's maximum effectiveness is observed between the emergence of the shoot and the formation of the third leaf. At later stages, using "Boxer" does not produce noticeable results.
Pros of the product

Calculation of consumption for different plants
The amount of the product required for treating cultivated plants is presented in the table:
| Plant | Object | Consumption rate, liters per 1 hectare | Processing Features |
| Winter wheat | Annual cereal weeds | 1 | It is worth spraying the plantings in the fall, before tillering and in the early stages of weed growth - before the appearance of 2 true leaves. |
| Winter wheat | Annual cereal and individual dicotyledonous weeds | 3 | It is worth spraying the plantings in the fall, before the sprouts appear. |
| Winter barley | Annual cereal plants | 1 | Plantings should be treated in the fall, before the crops begin to tiller and during the early stages of weed growth. This should be done before two true leaves emerge. |
Preparation of the working mixture
The working solution should be prepared immediately before spraying. Measure out the required amount of the solution for one sprayer fill. Then fill the sprayer tank 50% with water and add the required volume of herbicide. Then add water until the solution is full. It is recommended to do this while continuously mixing the working solution with hydraulic agitators.
The working fluid should be prepared and filled into the sprayer in special areas. These areas must be subsequently disinfected.
Terms of Use
To control the growth of grass and broadleaf weeds, we recommend using a tank mix of "Boxera" at a dosage of 150-180 grams per hectare. The specific amount depends on the type of weed. It is recommended to apply the mixture when 2-3 leaves appear, before tillering.
To ensure the herbicide is distributed properly, the soil needs to be adequately moist. It is recommended to spray plants at temperatures between 10 and 25 degrees Celsius. This should be done in the morning. The effectiveness of the treatment may be reduced by stress experienced by plants in hot or dry weather. This also applies to exposure to cold.

"Boxer" is often used in mixtures. For potatoes, it should be combined with metribuzin. This helps control large numbers of weeds and reduces the toxicity of herbicides.
Precautionary measures
When working with the product, it is recommended to wear protective clothing—boots, a mask, goggles, and overalls. Visiting treated fields is prohibited for 2 days. Use extreme caution when spraying near bodies of water.
How toxic is it?
The drug is classified as hazard class 3. It is important to protect food and animal feed from it.
Possible compatibility
"Boxer" can be combined with most herbicides that are used before the emergence of crop shoots.

How to store it correctly and for how long
It is recommended to store the substance in special warehouses. The temperature should be between -5 and +35 degrees Celsius. The shelf life is 3 years.
Analogues
"Boxer" has a unique composition. The same active ingredient is found in "Arcade." This herbicide also contains metribuzin. Additionally, "Tornado-500" or "Centurion" can be used for treating potato crops.
The herbicide "Boxer" is considered an effective product that helps control most weeds. To ensure effective use, it's important to follow the instructions carefully.
