To protect grain fields from weeds, farmers use herbicides. A single treatment throughout the season eliminates weeds that rob crops of nutrients and hinder their full development. The herbicide "Drotik" eliminates even stubborn weeds that other chemicals fail to control. It is recommended to read the instructions before use.
Composition and existing forms of release
The main component of the selective herbicide "Drotik," responsible for its effectiveness, is 2-ethylhexyl ether, which belongs to the class of aryloxyalkanecarboxylic acids. One liter of the product contains 400 g of this ether.
This chemical weed killer is produced by domestic companies, making it inexpensive. The herbicide is sold as a colloidal solution packaged in 5-liter plastic canisters.
Method of work
Within an hour of application, the herbicide fully penetrates weed tissue, including the root system, and begins to inhibit cell growth. More sensitive weeds stop growing within a few hours of spraying, while hard-to-kill weeds stop growing within 24 hours. Within a week, the weeds are completely dead.

What plants does it affect?
The list of weeds that are affected by "Dart" is quite extensive:
- field thistle;
- common thorn apple;
- field bindweed;
- shepherd's purse;
- hemlock;
- nettle;
- bug infestation;
- deadnettle;
- coltsfoot;
- spring ragwort;
- chamomile;
- Highlander.
Depending on the sensitivity of the plants, it will take different amounts of time to completely destroy them.
Advantages of the drug
Due to its many advantages, the selective herbicide "Drotik" is often used by farmers sowing fields with grain crops and corn.

Calculation of consumption
To achieve the desired result, it is necessary to correctly calculate the consumption of the herbicide "Drotik".
| Cultivated plant | Weeds | Norm of the drug | Number of treatments |
| Corn | Annual and perennial weeds | From 750 ml to 1.2 liters per hectare of field | One time |
| Spring wheat and barley | Annual and some perennial weeds | From 500 to 650 ml per hectare of field | One time |
| Winter barley, rye and wheat | Annuals and perennials | From 650 to 900 ml per hectare of plantings | One time |
Preparation of working solution
Fill the sprayer tank with half the volume of clean water and add the specified amount of the product. Then, turn on the agitator and wait until the herbicide is completely dissolved. Then, add water until the volume is full and mix thoroughly again.

Instructions for use
The instructions for the "Drotik" product state that spraying should be done either early in the morning or in the evening, when the weather is clear and dry. However, if rain falls an hour after application, the product will have time to penetrate the weed tissue and will not lose its effectiveness.
Precautionary measures
"Drotik" is classified as a Class 2 hazard to humans, so protective clothing is required when handling it. A respirator is worn to prevent inhalation. A shower is mandatory after finishing work.

Phytotoxicity
If the recommended rates are followed, the herbicide does not harm crops.
Possible compatibility
One of the advantages of this chemical is its ability to be used in tank mixes with other herbicides. However, a test is necessary before mixing the products.
Storage rules and shelf life
The shelf life of "Drotik" is 2 years from the date of manufacture, provided the storage conditions are met. The herbicide should be stored in a utility room, out of reach of children. The maximum temperature should not exceed 28 degrees Celsius. The room should also be protected from direct sunlight.
Analogues
If the herbicide "Drotik" is not available for sale, it can be replaced with the drug "Granat" or "Aminka EF".
