Tomato Natalie is a new variety of Siberian selection, included in the state register for the Western Siberian region for cultivation in open ground.
What is the Natalie tomato?
Characteristics and description of the variety:
- Belongs to mid-early varieties of determinate type.
- It is highly valued by gardeners for its high yield, uniform ripening and excellent pickling qualities.
- The fruits are cylindrical, weigh 70-110 g, red, smooth, dense, do not crack, with a high content of glucose and ascorbic acid, have a high resistance to many diseases, the average number of nests is 2-3.
- They are transportable and suitable for storage, do not crack (the shelf life in the refrigerator is approximately 20 days).
- The color of the unripe fruit is green, the ripe one is red.
- Medium-sized, light green leaves. Excellent flavor, no side shoots required. Articulated peduncle. Intermediate inflorescence.

The main characteristics also include the height of the plant, which is 55-65 cm, which means there is no need to tie up the stem and makes it easier to water and loosen the soil around the bush.
The yield of the Natalie variety is approximately 184-362 c/ha, the yield of marketable fruits is approximately 93%, which is a very good indicator.
How are tomatoes grown?
It is recommended to grow this tomato variety outdoors. Sow the seeds for seedlings 50-60 days before planting them in their permanent location; the optimal temperature for germination is 23 to 25°C. No special skills are required to grow the Natalie variety; seedlings are pricked out when they have 1-2 true leaves. Harden off the plants 7-10 days before planting. Place them outdoors for a set amount of time, increasing this period each day.

You can also begin to accustom them to cold water by first watering the tomatoes with room temperature water, decreasing the temperature each day, and finally watering them with plain running water. This will increase the tomatoes' resistance.
They are moved under temporary cover in May and into the open ground in June, once the threat of frost has passed. When planting, plant up to five plants per square meter; they grow well in fresh soil without any difficulties. Further care includes timely fertilizing, watering, and hilling.
To improve fruit set, it is recommended to use mineral stimulants for growth, plant health and increased yield. The Natalie variety is mid-season, with 117-122 days from germination to fruit ripening, making it ideal for a garden plot.
If the plant is not pricked out, its roots will take on a taproot shape. If pricked out, however, the roots will become fibrous and will not go deeper than 50 cm. With a fibrous root system, the tomato absorbs significantly more nutrients and minerals, which also increases its yield.

Like any other variety, Natalie tomatoes are best planted in the evening. Planting in the morning or afternoon can result in sunburn and failure to establish. After planting, be sure to water generously. If you must plant during hot weather, be sure to protect the tomato from direct sunlight.

After reviewing and analyzing numerous reviews, I can conclude that these tomatoes are well-suited for both fresh consumption and further processing, especially for canning. The Natalie variety is ideal for those who don't want to bother with staking and pinching tomatoes but still want a high yield and delicious fruit.

This tomato is quite easy to grow, and it's the only one I've been growing lately. I'm 100% satisfied with the taste; it's very juicy and sweet. I recommend using it as a fertilizer. BioGrow.
