In the late 1990s, Russian breeders developed the Server F1 tomato. This hybrid variety is characterized by high yields and ripening within three months.
Gardeners plant different tomato varieties in their gardens, which tolerate temperature fluctuations and produce abundant harvests. They typically plant varieties that ripen at different times, allowing for a consistent harvest throughout the spring and fall.
Early-ripening varieties, such as Server, which breeders have created specifically for summer residents and gardeners, are popular.
Description of the Server F1 tomato
Below, we present the characteristics and description of the Server variety. Breeders developed the Server F1 variety for open-ground cultivation in the southern regions, but the tomatoes are also successfully grown in other parts of the country.

It's important to keep in mind that in central Russia, Server needs to be planted and grown in plastic greenhouses. However, in the south, such structures are quite sufficient for harvesting. The bushes will also bear fruit in open ground.
This variety quickly became popular among small farmers and summer cottage owners.

Among the main characteristics that distinguish the Server F1 tomato from other varieties, it is worth noting the following:
- The plant height varies from 60 to 70 cm.
- There are a lot of leaves on the bushes.
- Each brush contains 5-6 tomatoes, and there can be up to 5 brushes on 1 vine.
- The weight of 1 fruit is 130 g.
- The tomato has a uniform red color.
- The shape of the fruit is round.
- The fruits do not crack if the temperature changes.
- The server has a sweet taste.
- The variety is distinguished by its high yield.
- The tomato is resistant to garden viruses, infections and diseases.
- The variety begins to bear fruit within 2.5–3 months after planting the seeds in the ground.
The yield of Server F1 in open ground per 1 m² is on average 9.5-10.3 kg, and in greenhouses this figure increases and is equal to 15-17 kg per 1 m².

Reviews from gardeners indicate that tomatoes can be transported over long distances.
Growing Tomatoes Server
To get a high-quality harvest, you need to properly cultivate tomatoes. It's important to avoid mistakes, fertilize, water, and prune the plants at the right time.
Seeds of the Server F1 variety should be purchased only in specialized stores, where you can also purchase bushes for planting in the ground. In this case, it's best to select vigorous bushes that have no flowers.

After planting seeds or a ready-made plant in the soil, you should not water the future tomatoes too often. This can cause rotting, including of the root system. It is recommended to water no more than once every 5-7 days.
Gardeners should properly pinch off side shoots and remove shoots when they reach 3-4 cm in height, no more. Leaving stumps behind prevents bacterial or viral infections. Therefore, shoots should be pinched off to the base.
Side-sonning is essential to prevent fruit-bearing branches from growing on the sides. While this is a good thing, it will increase the number of fruits. However, these fruits will be small and will not fully ripen, rotting as the bush grows.

When planting tomatoes in the ground or a greenhouse, avoid planting them too close together. No more than 3-4 plants per square meter should be planted. With proper care, each plant can yield up to 7 kg of tomatoes, resulting in a yield of 20-28 kg per square meter.
Server tomatoes can be used throughout the gardening season, making tomatoes or fresh tomato juice. They can be canned whole, pickled, or preserved in barrels. Tomato juice lovers can make a high-quality, delicious drink that keeps well thanks to its balanced sugar and acid composition.
