Many gardeners ask how to grow the "Spoiled Fate" tomato, which they've read reviews about online. This is a determinate tomato variety that reaches a height of 60-80 cm. It's mid-season, ripening in 100-110 days. It's suitable for outdoor cultivation. The fruit weighs 130-150 g. It's oblong, pepper-like, and red in color.
How to grow the tomato "Favorite of Destiny"?
Seed planting begins in late March, so that the seedlings are ready for transplanting into the ground by early May. Seeds germinate 7-10 days after sowing. They need adequate warmth to allow the plants to establish themselves before transplanting.

To reduce germination time, many gardeners germinate seeds on a moist surface. Any shallow container, such as a plate, lined with several layers of cheesecloth and moistened with water, is suitable. To create a greenhouse effect, the seeds are covered with plastic wrap and placed in a heated area, maintaining a temperature of 25°C. This stage hardens the seeds.
Once the seeds sprout, they are transplanted into cups filled with a special substrate or fertile soil. Instead of watering, it's preferable to mist the seedlings with a spray bottle to prevent the roots from rotting from overwatering.
Two weeks before planting in the garden, the seedlings need to be hardened off. This means taking the pots from the warm room out onto the balcony or leaving them near an open window every day. Acclimate the seedlings to the outdoors gradually, increasing the time each day.

Seed hardening, or how to wake up seeds for sowing. Select the largest and fullest seeds for sowing, as they are sure to produce healthy shoots. If using store-bought seeds, make sure they are disinfected. Seeds treated by the manufacturer do not require re-disinfection.
If you're a fan of all things natural, disinfecting seeds with a potassium permanganate solution isn't for you. It's better to use garlic water (a paste of 1 clove of garlic per cup of water). Wrap the seeds in a soft cloth and soak them in this solution for an hour. Afterward, be sure to rinse them under running water to remove any remaining garlic film.

Next, add micronutrients. You'll need 1 tablespoon of wood ash and 100 ml of water. Soak the seeds in this solution for no more than 3-4 hours, then rinse them to remove any remaining ash.
The next step is hardening and germination.
The seeds, laid out on a damp napkin and covered with film, should be placed in the refrigerator for 5-7 days according to the following schedule: 24 hours at room temperature and the same amount of time on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. This procedure will increase the plant's resistance to cold.

Planting in open ground is done as follows: 5-6 seedlings can be planted per 1 m². The best vegetable precursors are cabbage, cucumbers, zucchini, and parsley.
To care for the plant, it's necessary to create the appropriate conditions. Tomatoes will grow healthy and produce a good harvest if the following points are observed:
- garter;
- hilling and loosening;
- moderate watering;
- timely feeding;
- if necessary, remove side shoots.

Tomato Reviews
Svetlana, Belgorod region:
"According to the description on the package, the 'Baloven' sud' tomatoes are indeed very fleshy and delicious. However, their color isn't quite red enough; I'd even say it's slightly yellowish. I figured it was due to our climate. The fruits on each cluster varied in shape, including round and oval ones. Overall, it's a good variety."

Valentina, Krasnodar Krai, Kuban:
"I planted this variety for the first time; I bought the seeds from the Siberian Garden company. I grew them in open ground, planting two plants per hole. The resulting bushes grew to a height of 1 meter and seemed to show no signs of stopping. I reaped a bountiful harvest, and the tomatoes turned out delicious. However, the coloring didn't match the description; the fruits didn't have the intense red color promised."
Galina, Vladimir:
"I'd describe the shape of this tomato variety as plum-shaped rather than pepper-shaped. It's a productive variety. The fruits are firm and fleshy."
