What is Black Pearl tomato?
Characteristics of tomatoes:
- The plant produces clusters of 6-12 small fruits weighing approximately 30-40 g, round in shape, with thin skin and a pleasant pink tint.
- This plant variety is classified as tall indeterminate.
- It is well suited for canning, but is best added to salads fresh, as, unlike red and pink varieties, it has sweeter flesh and a richer flavor.
- The taste of cocktail tomato varieties is improved by adding nutrients to the irrigation solution.
- These tomatoes are black in name only, but in reality their color can vary from purple to brown.
Since the bush is tall, it needs to be tied to a trellis. You can adjust the plant's height by pinching its stem at the desired height. Seedlings should be sown in March or April, at a depth of no more than 1-2 cm. Pricking out should be done when the plants have 2-3 true leaves.
The seedlings should be transplanted into the greenhouse in May or April. The inflorescences reach 8-9 leaves, spaced every 3 leaves. Under favorable conditions, tomatoes of this variety can grow for 8-9 months.

After planting the plants in the ground, they are tied up and side shoots are removed. After tying the bush to the trellis, it's time to form the vines on which the fruit will ripen. You can create as many as you need, and trim off any excess.
