Stomp series herbicides have proven their effectiveness and safety for decades when used correctly. They kill annual monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds and remain active in the soil for up to two months. These products are intended for professional farmers with the relevant education and practical experience.
Composition and existing forms of release
The "Stomp Professional" combination emphasizes the herbicide's potency and the need for responsible use. This product contains the active ingredient pendimethalin, a dinitroaniline. It is available in capsule suspension form. Stomp 330 is also available as an emulsion.

In order to decide whether to use a product or not, it is necessary to analyze it from both the positive and negative sides.
Mechanism of influence
The product remains active in the soil for a long time due to the gradual release of the active ingredient from the microcapsules that make up the suspension. Weed roots absorb Stomp herbicide from the soil along with moisture, which inhibits the division of meristem cells, which form all plant tissues. Germinating non-weed plants quickly die. Stomp herbicide, although it doesn't kill weed seeds, destroys them after germination thanks to its delayed action. The capsule shell is destroyed only upon contact with the soil.
Plant protection spectrum
Stomp rids cultivated plants of annual monocotyledonous weeds. It is less effective against dicotyledons; however, many are killed, especially at the germination stage. It destroys some grass weeds at the 1-1.5 leaf stage, and broadleaf dicotyledons even at the two-true leaf stage. The herbicide is ineffective against deeply rooted plants and perennials.

How to prepare a solution
Stomp herbicide contains 455 grams of pendimethalin per liter. To prepare a working solution per 10 ml of product, 10 liters of water are required. First, fill the sprayer tank 1/3 full with water, then add the calculated amount of herbicide. Stir. Top up with water until the tank is full, and stir again. If the tank is large or there are breaks in application, re-stir the solution. 200-400 liters of liquid are used per hectare.
Features of application
Pendimethalin-based herbicide should not be combined with strong acids or concentrated alkalis. The selective action of the product does not harm most crops. Soybeans, peas, and sunflowers can be sown following Stomp Professional application by incorporating them into the soil. Onions, potatoes, corn, and other grains should be planted below the herbicide application level. Both methods are suitable for seedlings.
Instructions for use:
- Spray the solution with the chemical.
- After 24-48 hours, plant the mixture into the soil to a depth of 3-4 cm.
- Moisten the soil by 1-2 cm. In this case, point 2 is cancelled.
- Do not harvest for 60 days.
Security measures
Direct contact with the herbicide "Stomp" should be avoided. It is recommended:
- Wear special gloves that are resistant to chemicals.
- Cover your body with clothing as much as possible.
- Wash contaminated clothing immediately.
- Do not inhale vapors or spray.
- If it gets on your skin, wash the area with running water and soap.
- Keep your eyes open while rinsing with copious amounts of water. Continue this procedure for 15 minutes. Consult an ophthalmologist.
- After swallowing, rinse your mouth immediately and drink 300 ml of water. Consult a doctor.
- When working with poison for a long time or in high concentrations, wear a respirator.
- Put on protective glasses.
- During spraying, do not eat, drink, smoke or talk.
- After finishing work or before lunch, wash your hands and face thoroughly.
Degree of phytotoxicity
If seeds are sown too close to the soil surface before treatment with Stomp herbicide, or if heavy rainfall lowers the herbicide to seed level, the chemical can harm crops with which it is only positionally compatible (e.g., grains). The microencapsulated form of pendimethalin significantly reduces the risk of phytotoxicity of the active ingredient.
How to increase the effectiveness of the drug
Stomp herbicide is most effective at temperatures above 8°C and below 25°C. Its action is enhanced by moderately moist soil. Timing of application is important: the smaller the seedlings, the more likely the weeds will die. Organic matter in the soil absorbs some of the herbicide. Therefore, before spraying, plant residues should be incorporated to a depth of at least 20 cm.
Before applying pesticides, check the weather forecast to avoid doing the work before heavy rains.
It's important to consider application rates based on weed age and soil type. This will reduce the likelihood of Stomp-resistant vegetation developing.
